Victorian Limited Scope COVID-19 Vaccinator- Emergency Workforce

Job Description

We are seeking interested Limited Scope COVID 19 vaccinators to participate under supervision in the preparation and administration of COVID 19 vaccinations for people aged 18 years and over.

The successful candidate will have currently or previously been employed in a health or community service setting and/or be currently enrolled in a TAFE or University Health related course, have knowledge of infection and prevention control procedures.


Please note you must have the right to work in Australia and be able to provide evidence of this.


You will bring:

  • Successful completion of Commonwealth COVID_19 vaccination training program ; https://covid19vaccinationtraining.org.au/login/index.php and Victorian COVID-19 eLearning Competence training package; https://education-mvec.mcri.edu/courses/dh-covid19/
  • Ability to maintain client/patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills including the ability to build rapport, answer questions and provide information to patients within the scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated written literacy skills
  • Ability to use systems required to maintain electronic and other patient documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of a supervising authorised immuniser.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current employee National Criminal Police Check.

Dependent on your position you may be required to obtain an employee Victorian Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check.


All successful applicants are to comply with mandatory vaccination requirements, including COVID, at WDHS – current immunisation records and evidence is required.
