Purchasing Officer

Job Description

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Procuring materials for the company in accordance with our ERP System, material requisitions and company policies and procedures
  • Raising purchase orders, confirming and expediting orders
  • Carrying out new supplier evaluations/analysis
  • Ensuring goods arrive on time and are supplied with appropriate certification
  • Notifying requisition owner of any delays to delivery dates
  • Monitoring expenditure, facilitating initiatives to prevent surplus and preventable costs
  • Coordinating the transportation of goods between suppliers and sites
  • Performing timely corrective actions, addressing any issued non-conformances
  • Providing accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
