About the Role:

An exciting, regional opportunity currently exists to support the delivery of the Community Based Bushfire Management (CBBM) program. This position plays a pivotal role in increasing community engagement and inter-agency collaboration in bushfire management. This is a true partnership role where you will work closely with community members, sharing bushfire knowledge in a way that encourages them to take ownership of bushfire management and empowers them to act. You will also build on relationships with various land and fire management agencies, to improve community safety and identify solutions at a local level.

About You:

With a flexible and creative approach to community engagement practices, you will bring experience working in a community development role, demonstrating your ability to deliver results in a multi-disciplinary team environment. With strong group facilitation skills, creative thinking and business planning skills, you will be able to build positive, sustainable relationships at all levels. Excellent written and oral communication will ideally be underpinned by tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or a related field.
