The recently refurbished medical imaging department is located at the main site in Ararat and offers services in CT, Ultrasound, OPG and General Radiology.  It supports EGHS clinical service by offering imaging to both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team including Radiographers and Sonographers supporting our on-call and weekend work, all having support from our excellent administration staff.  EGHS also provides services to our local Medical Practitioners and the Department of Justice Corrections Centre at Ararat.

The Package

About the role 

• The Radiology team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 3:00pm – 6:00pm with emergency on-call
• The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software
• Produce high quality diagnostic images that are reasonably achievable given the patient condition and in accordance with the ALARA principles
• Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology specialist modalities
• CT experience preferred
• Salary based on skills, knowledge and experience
• This is a part time position

About You

• AHPRA Registration as a practicing Medical Imaging Technologist
• Demonstrated high level experience and skills in sonography
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to holistic patient centred care
• Demonstrated ability to contribute and practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated sound level of clinical skills and ability to work safety within scope of practice
• Commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence based approach to care
