Social Support Groups Assistant
Permanent Part Time 70 hours per fortnight available

About the role
Social Support Group Assistant is responsible to promote wellness by the planning, delivery and evaluation of activity programs to ageing and people with disabilities living in the community. Building social connections, fostering independence, engagement, feelings of being valued and achieving, maintaining community connections and learn new skills. This position will have the opportunity to work across all WDHS Campuses.
As part of this role you will be required to work in the team as as a Co-Leader in program planning, delivery, evaluation and building on community connections, and help facilitate a creative, dynamic, productive program in a safe working environment.
You will build partnerships to maximise independence and wellness by supporting the members to build on their strengths and interests to achieve identified goals and monitor member’s health and wellbeing.
You will bring:
- Minimum Certificate III in Community Services Leisure and Health, Allied Health Assistant or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A demonstrated capacity to work flexibly
