About the role
Western District Health Service has an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk within the Emergency Department team.
The successful applicant will undertake reception duties for the Emergency Department. Duties will include providing excellent customer service to patients and their families presenting to the Emergency Department, performing key administrative duties and working closely with the clinical team in coordinating work flow of the department.
This role is 70 hours per fortnight, which will require the successful applicant to display interpersonal skills, be able to perform a range of complex tasks, be team-orientated and enthusiastic towards your work and WDHS values.
The Ward Clerk Emergency Department will provide administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager and other key stakeholders.

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current employee National Criminal Police Check.
Dependent on your position you be required to obtain an employee Victorian Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
All successful applicants are to comply with mandatory vaccination requirements, including COVID, at WDHS – current immunisation records and evidence is required.
