We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our dedicated Community Rehabilitation team. This temporary part time position is available from April 2022 until April 2023 and includes working between Monday to Friday. This role involves working as part of a multi disciplinary team providing assessment, education and rehab programs to our clients once they have been discharged from hospital.
Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
- Qualification as an Allied Health Assistant or similar
- Clinical knowledge relevant to rehabilitation
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Allied Health Assistant
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary health team and in collaboration with groups and individuals
- Sound self-management skills appropriate to level of responsibility/experience (i.e. organisation, planning, time management and priority setting)
- A high level of IT skills
- Current drivers licence
Desirable:
- Demonstrated and ongoing commitment to professional development
- Understanding of chronic disease management and client self management principles
- Skills in motivational interviewing
