Ward Clerk Supervisor

Oxley

Admin Grade 2 (HS2)
Permanent Part Time
(48 hrs per fortnight)

The primary purpose of the Ward Clerk Supervisor role is to support the Oxley management team in overseeing the provision of administration and clerical support. This supervisory role involves providing high quality customer whilst coordinating the clerical team, conducting performance development conversations, rosters, training of new admin team members and supporting the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in a variety of administrative duties. The successful applicant will work within the multidisciplinary team in a coordinated approach including liaising with other departments, doctors and other stakeholders to facilitate the provision of best patient outcomes

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer focused service
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office and willingness to be trained in the specific programs required
  • Well-developed communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records
  • Advanced organisational skills including effective time management
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skill

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in supervising and managing small teams
  • Understanding rostering and Optima, data input and trouble shooting
  • Relevant qualifications i.e. Administration / Business Management
  • Medical terminology knowledge
