About the Role
WDHS is seeking a motivated person to join the WDHS Food Services team, in our Penshurst Hospital kitchen. The Food Services team provides support for the provision of food and beverages for visitors and staff as required. Our hospitality team strives for excellence, ensuring WDHS produces quality and nutritious food for our patients and residents.
Our motivated, innovative team offers exceptional customer service and a quality, healthy well-balanced menu.
The Food and Domestic Services Assistant will be a welcomed team member and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, basic cooking, food, vegetable and sandwich preparation, meal service and meal presentation, general cleaning, kitchen hand duties, and meal delivery and collection.
Experience in aged care would be an advantage, a food handling certificate, and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
This role also includes working in clinical and non-clinical areas of the Penshurst Campus and prospective applicants must be flexible in their availability to work shifts across seven days a week and should appreciate that this is a physically demanding position.

The successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check. Depending on the role, a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required. All employees must comply with WDHS vaccination requirements, including COVID and Booster shots. WDHS is a smoke-free workplace.
